As a nanny I always recommend a junior chair because once they are out of a standard high chair, it is years before they are comfortable on an adult chair.
Larissa Hazell, founder of The Childcare Guide

"The idea to create a junior chair came from a couple of key realisations.
The first was that, for a piece of furniture that feels quite temporary, a junior chair often remains in your home for a surprisingly long time. They're useful from around age 3 up to at least 8 years old—that’s a minimum of five years. If you have more than one child, it will likely be passed down, meaning you might have a junior chair at your dining table for 8 to 10 years. That’s nearly a decade of daily visibility, so why not make it an attractive addition to your dining space?
The second realisation was the lack of choice on the market. While there are countless high chairs for the early years, there’s very little available for the next stage.
The goal was then to create a junior chair with all the quality and attention of premium dining chair but proportioned that little bit smaller to suit a child. I really wanted it complement a dining space rather than stand out. As a parent I know your life can get a little overwhelmed with bright colours and toys. So I wanted this chair to be both for the child but also maintain a bit of sophistication for the adults that will see it everyday."
