Your payment is handled entirely by Stripe or PayPal — we never see your card details. Full security details here.
You have the right to return for a full refund within 14 days of delivery, even though each chair is made to order. Our full returns policy here.
Every chair is made by hand in Dorking, Surrey by our founder. If you have a question before ordering, we’re easy to reach here.
No. The chair is built from solid hardwood using traditional mortice and tenon joints — the same joinery used in full-size adult furniture. It’s strong enough for an adult to sit on, so there’s no practical limit for any child.
Roughly ages 3 to 8, though that’s a guide rather than a hard rule. The right fit depends on your child’s height — the chair is sized to give children proper table height and foot support during the post-high-chair years. Our founder’s daughter is nearly nine and still uses hers.
Each chair is made to order in our Surrey workshop, and the current lead time is two weeks from order. We’re not a warehouse operation — your chair is cut, jointed, and finished specifically for you. It’s worth the short wait.
We offer a full refund in line with UK online consumer regulations, even though each chair is made to order. Full details are on our returns policy page. We want you to feel confident ordering something you haven’t been able to sit next to in a shop.
None. It arrives fully assembled and ready to use.
The Junior Chair is currently available in three wood combinations — Ash, Oak, and Walnut frames, each with a complementary contrasting seat. Bespoke commissions for custom dimensions or other specifications are possible — contact us to discuss.
Very deliberate. The rear legs slope backwards and flare outward — this is a stability feature, not just a style choice. A chair with straight vertical legs (like a bar stool) risks tipping backwards when a child pushes against the table. The outward flare dramatically widens the base, keeping the chair planted even with an active, fidgety child.
The Junior Chair is made from our workshop in Surrey.
Each one is made from solid hardwood, selected for strength, longevity, and character.
This is not pine, veneered board or composite material.
Solid wood allows the chair to withstand daily use, age gracefully over time and passed on to the next child.
Each chair is built with the expectation that it will be used for years.
