Stadium Corner TV Cabinet
The stadium design is ideal shape for a corner TV cabinet, providing a uniform look whatever the angle. The mid-tone woods of Peer and Cherry complement each other while the independent tambour doors provide a great deal of flexibility in use.

Design Notes & Background
Here’s some details direct from the creator:
This started life as a personal project. I wanted to replace our very old tv stand that has been around for an embarrassing long time. Looking around at existing designs for some inspiration I was actually rather disappointed with what I saw. The main thing I don’t like about the designs out there that tout themselves as a ‘corner cabinet’ is they all seem to assume that the cabinet is positioned right in the corner given they all seem to have this perfect 45 degrees slice cut off the back two corners. If our house is anything like most people then the reality is that a TV in the corner area is not actually shoved right into the space at perfect angle at all! It’s more kinda pulled out at a bit of angle that happens to suit where people sit the most.
So the idea was then what shape could I use to that would be a bit more accommodating with reality and the stadium shape seemed perfect for the job. This design gives a consistent look whatever the angle. I think this really key for a cabinet that is not supposed to be centre of attention but quietly sit there in understated way not distracting from the TV.
The other thing is that TV cabinets are often part cabinet and part open to allow for the necessary extra boxes that go along with the screen. I wanted a design that could do it all – allow for the TV bit and bobs for still be a full cabinet. This where the two sets of tambour doors give a huge deal of flexibility as to how much is on show.
My other dislike of many TV cabinets is poor cable management. This often amounts to large circular hole in the back. Hardly neat! So the design incorporates a simple panel on the back that is held in place by magnets. This is easily removed to pass plugs through and satisfyingly pops back in place to hide the hole.
So the design of this is a pleasing clean design but was entirely driven by what this cabinet actually needed to do. I particularly like the way it gives a uniform appearance whatever angle you are sitting on a sofa.
The cabinet is constructed with a mix of pear and cherry. The pear is used on the top and bottom while the internals and tambour doors are made from cherry. These two mid-tone woods complement each other, which is furthered by subtle brass pulls.
The lower shelf features two additional drawers, which also hide a second cable exit. The drawers are constructed using box joints and feature pear fronts and cherry sides.

The shop price reflects the same design but the size and materials can be altered if needed. Just send us a note with what you would and we can see what we can do.
